Please be aware that per District policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student records are only available to the parent, legal guardian, responsible person or those that have written authorization if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to parent, legal guardian or responsible person without the student’s written consent.
Requesting Student Records/Transcripts – Currently Enrolled Students
If the child is currently enrolled in a school in Aurora Public Schools (APS), please request records from the school where the student is currently attending.
Requesting Student Records/Transcripts – Former Students/Alumni
Parents/legal guardians of students in grades K-8 who have withdrawn from APS during the current school year should contact the last school attended for all records. Parents/legal guardians of students 18 years of age or older in grades 9-12 who have withdrawn from APS since January 2015 should contact the last school attended for all records.
APS offers a convenient and secure Web site for alumni, former students, corporations and government agencies to request records and verifications. All requests should be made using our online request system. Records will be mailed to the address listed on the request or you may pick up your records from our office. Graduates: If you are an Aurora Public Schools graduate, you may request your transcript (official or unofficial), immunization record, ACT/SAT scores, permanent educational records, or a replacement diploma by clicking here.
Transcripts may be prepared either as official or unofficial. Please indicate the preference on your request. Official transcripts are stamped official, inserted in a sealed envelope and may only be opened by a college/business/or person of authority. Unofficial transcripts are stamped unofficial.
To Pick-up Records:
After you have completed the online ordering process, you may pick up records by 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Kiosks to complete your records request are available in the Student Records office at 15701 E. 1st Ave., Suite 111, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. A VALID GOVERNMENT-ISSUED PHOTO ID MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE TIME OF PICK UP. You can pay online with credit/debit card or in the office with money order (payable to Aurora Public Schools) or cash. Pick-up orders will not be released until payment is received.
A fee is required for each set of records requested and the fee varies based on the request. In addition to the fee, every order will also be assessed a $4.00 Scribsoft handling fee. Method of payment may be credit/debit card, cash (only if picking up records) or money order payable to Aurora Public Schools. If paying by money order, the order will not be completed until the money order is received. Please include a copy of the order confirmation when mailing payment to:
